How can I keep from singing Your praise
How can I ever say enough
How amazing is Your love
How can I keep from shouting Your name
I know I am loved by the King
And it makes my heart want to sing

-Chris Tomlin "How can I keep from singing"

(Everyone you should listen to this song, it is amazing)

Road Trip

I just came off a road trip to Calgary this past weekend. I went on a retreat with the soccer team to a ranch about an hour and a half past Calgary. It was super fun. The place was huge. It was a good time of bonding with the team; creating new friendships and strengthening existing ones. We climbed up a really steep hill, it was exhausting, but well worth it when we got to the top and saw the view of the ranch and the rolling hills in the distance. I had a super great time talking and singing and just overall being silly with Michelle in the car. We had a hot tub/bonfire night and all the girls were in the hot tub, but I just wasn't feeling like hot tubbing at that moment. In a cabin close by, my coach's husband and her dad and brothers were playing poker so I joined them and pretty much cleaned them out. They never saw it coming. I like to shock people sometimes. So yeah it was a really great weekend, but now I am back here in Caronport and loving it here too!
The big pic is of the living room of our ranch house. It was pretty huge. And then there's Michelle - all I gotta say to her is: Saskatchewan is the most boringest place to drive through - you can say that again - Saskatchewan is the most boringest place to drive through. (sorry that probably means
absolutely nothing to anyone but Michelle and I)
This other pic is from the top of the hill that we climbed. It was beautiful!

For The Girls

"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment,
such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and
fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self,
the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is
of great worth in God's sight."

First College Date

Last night one of the school's singing groups, Sojourn, performed some classical Mozart. I had the privaledge of being escorted by a Mr. David Gubbins. We got all dressed up and he picked me up in a horse and buggy and paraded me around Caronport. I felt like such a lady. The night was filled with great singing and good opera. The gowns were immaculate! Then David took me back to my dorm and dropped me off. It was a magical evening! *sigh* Okay so that was not all true. But it sounds wonderful doesn't it? The truth is is that we did go on a date but it was just as friends, neither one of us is interested in each other that way! And no he did not pick me up in a horse and buggy (hint: any interested boys out there, the horse and buggy thing would definetely give you brownie points), we just walked to the Chapel. But we did get dressed up and he was a perfect gentlemen.
